Welcome to Music On Top's homepage!

During the years 2011 - 2014, several joint activities will be implemented to enhance the musical collaboration in the Arctic area. The work is performed within the Music On Top is one of Europe's largest European projects in the cultural field. The project is owned by Norrbotten Big Band in Sweden, in cooperation with Oulu Symphony Orchestra and Oulu Music Conservatory in Finland and Culture in Troms, Musikk in Nordland, Scene Finnmark and Nord-Norsk Jazzsenter.

Music On Top is partly financed by EU Interreg North program with funding from each country (see logos at the bottom).

An initial three-year period of the project was carried out between 2008-2011. In the mediaplayer below are several samples of artists from the Arctic, which occurred on the first activity - Music On Top Jazz Festival - which took place  in Kulturens Hus in Luleå, November 2008.
